Emmanuel Uko - Measurement and Logging Services Manager

Emmanuel joined Segofs Energy Services Ltd (SESL) following the merging of Smart Drilling Services Ltd (SDS) with SESL in 2018.

His R&M background positioned him for field experience in MLWD in SCHLUMBERGER D&M from where he held several positions including Field R&M Interface Service Quality Co-ordinator. Emmanuel’s sojourn in SCHLUMBERGER took him to Sudan and West Africa before joining Weatherford as Senior Field Engineer with the responsibility of setting up the Drilling Services business unit and marketing the Weatherford Drilling Services product suite in Nigeria. He was moved to Weatherford International where he worked in West Africa and Middle East as a Senior Field Engineer before returning to Nigeria from where he joined SDS in 2014 as MLWD Operations Coordinator. While in SDS he was responsible for the smooth running of MLWD field operations, had oversight of the field support and business development teams as well as involved in training new engineers for MLWD operations.

His trainings include MLWD, drilling performance, drilling services, QHSE, radiation safety, human resource management, crisis management and negotiation.

Emmanuel holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria.
